I have upgraded from a Delonghi Icona to this machine. It is a beast with all the variable modes you can select. I do like how fast and efficient the grinder works. However, it is still a learning curve for me to dial in the ideal espresso shot!

My Barista Express conked out after 6+ years and Breville gave me a great discount to buy a new machine. Went for the Barista Pro and really happy. Like the additional speed, really like the reduction in water usage and the notification when water is low. REALLY like the ability to get more scientific with the dial in due to the timer and the grind control improvement. I got the dosing funnel with it and really like that addition for tidyness. I miss the cool gauge look as the LCD doesn't look as good but a nice step up.

Had the machine about a month and at first I was happy but unfortunately things have changed. I cannot get consistent results. Tried setting my own brew times etc and things got worse. Reset to default & again run times hopeless, coffee either weak & creama poor.Not sure what to do with the machine, very tempted to go back to my old Gaggia classic, simple to use and great coffee.
