FAST boiler. Stays hot for a while. Our first unit lasted for over 2 years before the top broke off. Hoping this one lasts longer.

I was satisfied with this kettle at first and even brought one for a friend. It boiled water quickly, and I appreciate that there are less plastic components exposed to boiling water. Unfortunately, the lid mechanism failed and the lid no longer opens. The shutoff button has also become unreliable, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Similar problems appear in many other reviews, and replacement parts are not available. I hope Breville improves the design and durability of the kettle. A kettle at this price should last longer under normal use.

It works perfectly and is less noisy that other. The crystal is more strong and it works great. I would prefer the other with the different temperatures but this work great.
