We bought this purely because we have a miner of sage items, and well sage offer great customer service and the items we have are really good. The toaster to be fair is a toaster. But the crumpets option is good. Get a nice toast on one side and a little gentle on the other. Great on hot cross buns. Didn’t realise the lowering mechanism is electronic which is really cool!! Only downside I had (once) it a crumpet got caught in the gage when the item had finished. Because it’s motorised it didn’t detect this and proceeded to raise the crumpets. One got sliced in half and made a mess. But only done this once and it could have been user error. But I’m happy with it.

Very well engineered and thoughtfully designed. Packaging is very good and it works very well. Quite expensive and unfortunately not particularly reliable. This is my third toaster, the first failed after 18 months with a faulty switch and was replaced under warranty. That unit survived just over two years and failed with another electrical problem, tripping the main RCD. Contacted sales and was informed that they are unable to repair these units and offered me a 25% discount so one last chance.
