    Overview

The Samsung 8kg Smart AI Heat Pump Dryer has been designed to provide unparalleled efficiency and fabric care. Engineered for superior drying performance, it delicately handles your fabrics - preserving their quality.

With advanced AI control, this dryer learns your preferences - offering tailored cycle suggestions and timely updates. Seamlessly integrating with your lifestyle, Samsung's SmartThings app enhances the experience by providing insightful advice of cycle selection, scheduling and issue resolution.

Say goodbye to guesswork as this dryer intuitively selects the optimal drying course for each load, ensuring exceptional results every time.
    Heat Pump Technology

Heat pump technology offers a gentle and energy-efficient way to dry clothes. It has an impressive 9-star rating for energy efficiency because it uses a ‘refrigerant’ to heat the air, instead of electricity. It also recycles air to help reduce energy usage.

    Dry with intelligence

Enjoy quick and more precise drying with AI Dry technology with 8 sensors. By continually sensing the temperature and humidity of the clothes in the drum it intelligently controls and optimises drying performance while being gentle on clothes.

    Quick Dry

If you're on a tight schedule, the Quick Dry cycle uses high heat to get a small load of clothing dry and ready to wear in just 35 minutes.

    Wrinkle Prevent function

Save time from tedious ironing chores by selecting the handy Wrinkle Prevent option. This activates once the cycle ends to intermittently turn the drum without heat for up to 180 minutes. This helps prevent clothes from resting in one place for too long while hot to minimise crease formation.

    Great dryer
Easy to set up. Dryer works well and has plenty of drying modes. Cheap on electricity being a heat pump dryer. AI mode is good at selecting the appropriate time and readjusts as the cycle progresses. Some cycles can take a few hours but it appears gentle in clothes due to it being a heat pump dryer

    Terrible dryer that doesn’t dry
This dryer doesn’t dry properly. I put in a full superking sheet set on one cycle, finishes but items still wet. I split up and only put the one sheet and one pillow case. It finishes and items still wet. It takes three cycles to get one sheet dry. So not sure how it got a high energy rating. Even a small pile of clothes, it will take two cycles for them to come up dry. The ‘intelligence’ sucks. Don’t be fooled in by the app, it’s useless or the connecting with washer. If load 1 finishes in the washer and you load #2, then go to put in load 1 in the dryer, it suggests the cycle for load 2. Small detail but a pain. I did so much research into buying this set, not sure how it got so many good reviews. I should have listened to the small few bad ones! Am going to see if I can return, even if I loose money, I hate these machines!

    Scam
If it works, it works really well. But once it is out of warranty, it starts falling apart. Sad that Samsung only gives 10 year warranty if this item is purchased after 2023.

    Questions & answers

Hi, does this spin both ways to avoid sheets rolling up into a ball? mike87 · 2025-03-08
Hi Mike, this dryer does not have reverse spin. It's something you mostly find in higher-end (upper level Bosch and some Miele) dryers these days. Kind regards, Adam from Appliances Online. AdamD, Appliances Online
We have a Samsung WW85M74FN00 can this dryer be stacked on top? Does it require a stacking kit ? If so, can you please advise the model. Tina · 2025-01-12
Hi Tina, these models can be stacked =) Unfortunately, Samsung don't list a compatible stacking kit for this pair. However, a stacking mat (we list them as an accessory for the dryers) should suffice =) Kind regards, Adam from Appliances Online. AdamD, Appliances Online
can this dryer be placed on top of my samsung WWW85J5410IW/SA 8.5 bubble wash machine kerri · 2024-06-24
Hi Kerri, it certainly can =) I'd recommend including one of the two stacking mats we also list as an accessory, though. Kind regards, Adam from Appliances Online. AdamD, Appliances Online
Hi, can this model be stacked on my -WW95N64FRPW. Teja · 2023-06-28
Good Evening, Thank you for your product inquiry. This dryer can be positioned beside the washer rather than on top, as it is too deep to be stacked with the washer, and unfortunately, there is no stacking kit available for it. We hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at 1300-000-500. Colin Jones, Appliances Online
