Within a month of using the new vitamix container it started to get cloudy around the bottom and with each passing week it shows more and more cloudiness on the sides, and I've only been using it for a total of 6 weeks. I have been cleaning it per instructions after each use, but it doesn't help. This is the reason I bought a replacement, my last container got so bad I couldn't read the measurements. I purchased my vitamix blender over 10 years ago, and many friends have seen me use it and loved the smoothness of the smoothies I made for them and then went on to purchase one for themselves. But I just cannot continue to recommend the blender anymore, because the container is too much of an issue. It starts to look grubby on the countertop. And they're not cheap to replace.

I have an original C series or TNC machine. I was always envious of the new low stature containers and when I noticed there was a 1.4l container available for my C series, I bought it. I have to say, it is nowhere near the quality of my original container. The clear plastic handle is quite thin and the lid is made from a hard plastic. This renders it completely inflexible and hard to fit.

The 48 ounce container is the size that I use the most often. It's perfect for my morning smoothies and for a sweet potato bowl that I make. I also use it for several other things. This is not my first 48 ounce container. I purchased the first one when I bought my Vitamix in 2016. Unfortunately I didn't know at the time to refrain from using silverware (stainless steel) to scrape out the contents. It made my container very cloudy and was impossible to get clear again. I replaced that one and only use a rubber spatula to scrape out contents now. No more problems! By the way, I also have the 32 ounce container and the low profile 64 ounce container. But my 48 ounce container is my go-to indispensable size.
